"May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers." (Psalm 20:4-5)

Meditation: Thank you, Father, for all the prayers you have answered for me.

Here is the 16th excerpt from my book, Rosary Poetry: Poems on the life of Jesus Christ. Enjoy!

The Resurrection9

Buried with tears, the world mourns His absence,
Beyond our touch, unseen by human eyes.
Yet no evil, cruel, clever intent
Can blot from memory the One who died.

Early Sunday morn, His body rises
From its grave, glorious and resplendent.
All the heavenly host behold the sight
And magnify our redeemer and friend.

Angels descend to roll away the stone.
Soldiers set to guard the dead, flee for fear.
The earth rumbles and its Savior bursts forth,
As heaven's glory wipes away all tears.

All souls asleep in Abraham's bosom
Are restored to the joy of Paradise.
The powers of hell will never again
defeat converts of the One who rises.

Let those in heaven and on earth exult.
For Jesus, our magnificent Savior,
Has accomplished what He promised to do:
Suffer, perish and rise to die no more.
